Growing up in Bedok South, will always remind me of walking to the markets with its bustling brick and mortar stores you find in the heartlands. The smells of tiger balm that lingered near the medical halls, the stacks of chairs at the kopitiams, and my favourites were always the 20cent kiddy rides, that my mother would keep me entertained with as she ran her errands. In more ways than one, these memories held stories of their own that was unique to singapore, that Ive only discovered later in life and am appreciative of.
